Rescue crews extract high school students from mangled vehicle

It took rescue crews hours to extricate high school students from a mangled vehicle following a rollover crash in Fox Chapel Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened around noon on Field Club Road near Hickory Hill Road.

Fox Chapel Police Chief David Laux told us that the teens in the car were coming from the high school and on their way to golf practice.

Three victims are being transported to Children’s Hospital in stable condition and the other is being transported to UPMC Presby in serious condition for trauma.

According to Chief Laux, speed may have been a factor.

Allegheny County is assisting with the investigation.
