Coal miners honor America before going underground

A group of coal miners are going viral after a video shows them bowing their heads while one belts out the National Anthem.

Shane Wriston posted this video Tuesday of the men gathered around their bath house before going underground.

Wriston captions the video with, “There is no kneeling in this bath house… We have daily Safety Meeting before every shift before these guys go Underground, and we appreciate josh volunteering to sing after the meeting, thanks Josh Stowers #singingcoalminer”.

The men are employed at Mammoth Coal Company, near Charleston, WV.

The video comes after much controversy surrounding the National Anthem in the NFL, where some players are choosing to kneel in protest.
