A group has gathered outside of Governor Tom Wolf’s office in Downtown Pittsburgh Tuesday, pushing for clean air. The group, known as PennFuture, is delivering their “Toxic Neighbor” petition, which asks Wolfe to stop the expansion of oil and fracking companies who want to thrive in the Pittsburgh region.
RabbleVID user Ringa sent us this video from the press conference.
Ringa says, “Pittsburghers who want to keep the air, rivers, and land free from these dangerous chemicals have signed this petition, and many are gathered outside despite the winter weather to support it.”
Bundle up and join us at 11 am at 301 Fifth Ave. in downtown Pittsburgh for a press conference urging state leaders to stop the expansion of the petrochemical industry in SW PA. Bring your signs! #ToxicNeighbor pic.twitter.com/RDW0B7L4lP
