Ice skaters at PPG Place Downtown had the chance to enjoy some holiday weather to go with their outdoor activities. A small band of snow came through the Pittsburgh area around 11 a.m. Thursday.
Skaters appeared to have a great time in the snow– something we haven’t seen much the past few months.
In slow motion, the flakes look mesmerizing.
This year, Pittsburgh has had no measureable snow since last winter.
No measurable ❄️ at Pitt International yet this year. We have already past the average date (Nov 11), but it is not highly unusual to wait until early or mid December for that first 0.1". When will it happen? Quite possibly this weekend! pic.twitter.com/zczf40O3m8
