Claire’s is pulling several of their products off the shelves after a mother claimed the products contained the cancer-causing chemical asbestos.
Kristiana Warner, who works at a law firm specializing in asbestos lawsuits, decided to have the makeup she bought her daughter tested at a lab.
According to CBS News she claims the makeup came back positive for asbestos.
After the initial tests, CBS affiliate WPRI reported that more makeup kits were sent for testing from Claire’s stores in nine states, and all of the samples tested positive.

The company put out a statement on Twitter regarding the issue.
On Saturday the company announced the recall and listed the recalled products.
As expected, the public is outraged and concerned.
Do we need to be worried in the UK? My daughter has one of the 17 makeup kits in question?

Didn’t test that BEFORE you sold this to children? I imagine that was to save on expenses. Wonder how that math is gonna work out now… #CorporateGreed
