Police have arrested a man who is suspected of being involved in a sex act with a juvenile in public at Kennywood Park was arrested Thursday.
James Wright, 39, was arrested by West Mifflin police was on charges of stalking, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and indecent exposure.
An investigation has been underway since early August when police released photos and surveillance video showing a man, who is now believed to be Wright. At the time, police said the man in the video was a guest at Kennywood Park and the act happened on park grounds. They said it did appear to be a random act but was not necessarily an “attack.”
Police Chief Ken Davies released a statement on the arrest of Wright.
Davies said in the statement that the public helped lead police to Wright.
He also said charges were filed with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office.
