Stars come out for ‘Relentless’ movie premiere in Pittsburgh

Hollywood invaded the Hollywood Theater in Pittsburgh’s Dormont neighborhood Wednesday night for East Coast premiere of Relentless, a thriller set to hit theaters everywhere in 2018.

The film, which stars David Castro, Lauren Shaw and Elpidia Carrillo, is based on true events surrounding human trafficking in Central America.

RabbleVID’s Veronica Buccilli hit the premiere’s red carpet and talked to one of the film’s stars, Martin Chavez, and the director, Lance Tracy.

Hundreds of people from across the country gathered at the iconic Pittsburgh theater once showtime arrived — and made sure to pose for a few photos on their way inside.

Though this is the first time the East Coast has seen the Relentless, it’s not the first-ever screening: The flick played at the Breckenridge Festival of Film in 2016, and even took home awards for Best Film and Best Director.

The movie, which was filmed in El Salvador, is slated for national theatrical release in February. Watch the trailer below.

According to the film’s website, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to The Abolish Slavery Coalition.
