Brides-to-be left scrambling after abrupt Alfred Angelo closure

A bride to be’s worst nightmare came true at Alfred Angelo Bridal Thursday night. Brides rushed to the Ross Township location once word spread that the company would be closing at 6 p.m.

Many went from counting down the days to their wedding to being left with questions and sorrow for the future. “I don’t get stressed that much, but she’s about to blow through the roof,” said Joshua Callan, who is getting married in a couple of months. Callan spent more than $2,000 at the McKnight Road location and doesn’t know if his fiancee will get her dress.

Suspect in Times Square incident pleads not guilty

According to the Associated Press, 26-year-old Richard Rojas only spoke to the judge to say good morning and his lawyer entered his plea.

The car was reportedly driving the wrong way down the street through Time Square and jumped a curb.

The vehicle came to rest with two of its wheels in the air, leaning on a lamppost and steel barriers intended to block vehicles from getting onto the sidewalk.

The impact killed Alyssa, an 18-year-old from Portage, Michigan, and injured 22 others.
